Today’s dental images are captured with digital x-ray sensors, intra-oral cameras, extra-oral cameras and scanners. You need state-of-the-art, open architecture digital dental x-ray software.
Why should you and your staff be forced to learn three or four different software programs? With XrayVision® in their practice, thousands of users have already simplified their digital image workflow by using one dental imaging software package.
XrayVision captures, enhances and displays all of your dental images. All your x-rays from most of the different digital sensors available today, along with phosphor plate systems like DenOptix, Orex and Scan-X, flatbed scanners, AND your full color images from intra-oral and extra-oral cameras and most other digital sources are organized into a patient database.
Apteryx Imaging incorporates the latest advancements in imaging technology and Apteryx’s patented STB (Secure Tagged Block) file format, an unmodifiable, secure and “loss-less” imaging format. Apteryx Imaging also exports to a number of popular image file formats, including TIFF (.tif) and JPEG(.jpg) for universal viewing.
XrayVision is the front office solution, too. It duplicates films, creates referral letters and treatment plans, and electronically transfers guaranteed-secure images electronic attachments to insurance companies or other doctors. No more lost films, no more wet film duplicators, and shorter insurance payment cycles.
Additionally, XrayVision captures x-rays directly from digital sensors as well as scanners, plus full color images from intra-oral cameras, digital cameras and other video sources.
You may find a feature list for XrayVision here.
What about practice management integration?
Apteryx Imaging Suite is integrated now.
With NameGrabber™, Apteryx’s patented applet, patient information is bridged from any practice management program and created or opened in your Apteryx Imaging software. Select the patient’s name in your management program, click on NameGrabber, and the patient’s record is automatically opened or created.
Digital Sensors
Digital sensor systems dramatically reduce radiation, eliminate chemicals entirely, and instantly produce x-rays that can be enhanced, duplicated and displayed in the operatory.
XrayVision is preconfigured to capture digital x-rays directly from many different digital sources, including CCD and phosphor plate systems. You don’t need to purchase expensive software or modules for XrayVision, you just need the sensor’s driver. True “plug and play” has always been here.
Scanners
XrayVision scans film radiographs in as little as 10 seconds, including bite-wings, periapicals, pans and cephs (depending upon the scanner used) as well as slides, photos, charts and other documents. Each image is saved to the patient’s file for easy recall.
Once films are scanned and digitized, you can enhance, duplicate and distribute the images just like x-rays captured directly from digital sensors. Continue using your existing development process while utilizing the features of Apteryx Imaging’s digital presentation.
As your needs change, XrayVision provides a clear path to digital x-ray — without changing programs or buying expensive add-ons.
Our easy-to-use camera interface captures live images that are displayed in a full screen. Use a foot pedal or mouse click to freeze the image of a tooth, quadrant or arch. Capture multiple images in one session and choose the best image to save to the patient’s file. It’s as simple as point and click. And with the appropriate hardware, images can be displayed on a TV and your computer monitor at the same time.
Expandability
The Apteryx Imaging Suite is built on an “open design” philosophy. You are able to take advantage of new technologies as they are developed. Free updates to your Apteryx Imaging application are available in the download section as they are released.
